Summer time

                 It is kind of cold for summer in Denmark, so the lilac just start to bloom few weeks ago. This where my inspiration come from. Also I would like to try so some painting without drawing line as well. Here is the first one. There will be another in this series. yay... enjoy Summer. :-)

Living in Berlin

I have move to live in Berlin for a while. Sure it is very nice city, everyday I have to take the train to work for almost an hour. It turn to be my resting time. And just yesterday, I saw one of the train rider, she is so stand out... This old lady has very elegrant posture. So when I arrived home I just have to draw her. Here is her picture.... And sure there will many more following this picture.

Medieval life

I have try to paint watercolor in different way, using Medieval daily living as theme. Now I have paint 2 images. It's nice break from crunch time with the bachelor project, while let the computer render. :)

                      Also a gang of impractical robots would like to join the holiday too.

Work process breakdown

                   Recently I got task to make an illustration of  'Rabbit village with the birthday party'. Meanwhile I have been ask for many people about How I create my work. Do I have draft before ? sketching ? planning ? . And because of this piece of work would not be with me since I already sold the original of it. I made scans during the process while this one was made.

                    

               

                  I start with rabbit dragging the cart full of carrots ,pumpkins and melons. Then the picture grow to small little hut. Another rabbit with basket full of scones, pines tree with squirrel on top of it, the tree on the right with squirrels inside next to small house then the rest of drawing come to complete the composition.

Squirrel and birthday cards

It was really productive week for me. I made birthday card for my niece. She is 2 years old now. Then a small series of squirrel, one of the animal I really like their post in natural.

I made 2 versions for the birthday card, one of this will be sent to my niece in Copenhagen. Hope she likes it. I draw this 2 while I was on the train. Thank you to very smooth train Denmark.

Costumes Series

                I am studying a traditional costumes from many regions in Europe. I start with Bavarian costume, region from south Germany. There will costume from other region as well. :)

                                I really do have to study how to paint the night scene a lot more, here is the full series of this bunny activities in a day from morning to night. 

                                 DyreHotel : I made this one as design for Confirmation invitation cards for Jenny.

She also need the lion to come to her animal hotel as well.

I was really enjoy working on this project a lot, thank you to Jenny who trust in me and let me make this you fer her.

Christmas gifts

                 From this Christmas, I got watercolor sketchbook and palette of watercolor as presents. So I try them created a sketch and also make a lately Christmas present for one of my good friend, she is a baker. It turn out to be a really good new year kick start on work and joy for painting. I wish everyone have great new year as well.

Princess and the dragon

                Once upon a time there was a town in the middle of the hills valley, where people live peacefully and calm with lots of kindness for each other. ...... 

                 It is where I start my little story, but I have not had  the chance to finish it yet. Nevertheless the illustrations are drawn, and I can share it for now. Maybe anyone will have an idea of the story for me. The drawing start ed a while ago, I just finished it now. so please enjoy and have fun.

Bunny series

Relate to the previous post, I have redrawn those tree series into The bunny series. Here is the result. Next step will be watercolor all of them. And I will update them again after the color done. 

Season change watercolor paint

Here are some of my watercolor work, take quite a while to finish it, after make the drawing. Many of them were draw long ago but I just got time to put the color on not so long ago. Hope you enjoy : ) 

MorningTime over the roof : watercolor + ink, I was thinking a bout Babe the movie I watch when I was a kid, and this what I rememeber from my mind. 

In the barn : This one start from my doodle in sketch book, but I think it maybe fun to put the color on. So I did it. Since the paper wasn't made for watercolor .... it absorb a lot of color and water. And this is the most deepest color I could get from this, the paper couldn't take anymore of paint.

Tree at the train station : I did a quick sketch while I was waiting for the train to Århus, and this is the tree that I saw at the otherside of the track, but for squirrels I add them myself, also put on watercolor afterward.

TeaTime: I made for friend who work at the cafe near school. She would like to have it for her freind's birthday. I made the bunny and squirrel having tea party. This is the first painting I have sold. 

Four seasons girl (work in progress) : I am inspired by the season change. Then I have a plan to make one painting according to the season. Now it halfway through, so I will update the finished ones again when the summer end.  

Cozy Corner

I draw the cozy corner once again but with the nib pen. It came from the idea of what is the cozy corner will look like. :)
